Use clear terms for Nigeria and cross-border transactions
A buyer in Nigeria and a seller elsewhere may face different wallet options, delivery costs and account requirements. The same is true when an overseas customer hires a Nigerian service provider. Confirm eligibility and the complete agreement before choosing a payment route.
Confirm both sides can complete the transaction
Check the countries, account requirements, currency and available funding or withdrawal methods. A platform being accessible on the web does not mean every method works in every country. Confirm any relevant provider restrictions before funding, particularly when a third-party account, regulated item or restricted service is involved.
- Check country and account eligibility.
- Agree currency and available methods.
- Confirm any delivery or transfer restrictions.
Define delivery and total cost
For physical goods, agree who arranges shipping, insurance, customs-related charges, inspection and returns. For remote work, agree deliverables, time zones, file formats and approval deadlines. Put the full commercial terms in writing; a quoted item price may exclude transport, fees or other obligations.
Set realistic inspection and communication windows
Allow time for the buyer to receive and check the actual delivery. Agree what evidence both sides keep and what happens when a carrier or another provider causes delay. Escrow does not replace shipping insurance, import compliance or a qualified inspection. Use the platform’s dispute process while the transaction remains open.
Find a relevant counterparty
Browse actual listings and communities, then confirm the seller’s stated location and service area. A Nigerian provider may deliver remote work internationally while a physical repair provider serves a limited area. Use the service that fits the real transaction rather than assuming a country name on a page guarantees local availability.
Common questions
Can someone outside Nigeria use every wallet method?
Availability depends on account eligibility and the methods currently offered. Check before funding.
Who pays shipping or import-related charges?
Agree that explicitly between the parties before starting the transaction.
Does escrow guarantee international delivery?
No. Agree delivery, inspection, evidence and any separate insurance or carrier arrangements.
Agree the details before you pay
Review the current fees, eligibility and available methods in your account. Keep the agreed terms and use the correct transaction flow.
