Introducing Scam Alerts: A Safer Way to Trade on Escrow Village
Written by BLESSING ABADI IFEOMA62 views
Buying and selling online is easier when you know who you’re dealing with.
That’s why Escrow Village has introduced SCAM ALERT, a new feature that lets you see Villagers who have been reported for scams, so you can make safer decisions before doing business with them.
What is The New Feature?
You can now see every Villager who has a SCAM ALERT on their profile.
A SCAM ALERT means the Villager has been reported for a scam with tangible proof. If you see a SCAM ALERT on someone's profile, you are advised NOT to conduct any business with that Villager.
Why We Built It
Scammers can make anyone look trustworthy. Sometimes, you only discover the problem after you've already sent your money or handed over your goods.
This feature gives buyers, sellers, and businesses another layer of protection by making reported scam activity easier to spot before a transaction takes place.
How It Works
It's simple:
1. Go to any Village on Escrow Village.
2. Click Menu & Safety at the top right.
3. You'll see the full list of Villagers with a SCAM ALERT.
4. Check the list before doing business with someone you're unsure about.
If a Villager is reported with tangible proof, their name can be added to the SCAM ALERT list.
What This Means For You
You can now do a quick safety check before entering into a transaction.
Instead of relying only on someone's profile, promises, or reputation, you now have another way to identify Villagers who have been reported for scams. It's one more step towards making online buying and selling safer for everyone.
Try The New Feature
Before your next transaction, take a moment to check Menu & Safety.
